When a power outage plunges the whole city into darkness, London finds itself at the mercy of a band of saboteurs, intent on spreading fear and devastation. Their principal agent is an unassuming, middle-aged man Oskar Homolka, who lives quietly with his young wife Sylvia Sidney, and her twelve year old brother, Stevie. His next act of Sabotage is to leave a time-bomb in the checkroom of a busy train station. Under police surveillance himself, he persuades Stevie to deliver the ‘Package’ for him. Tense problems arise as he’s delayed by a parade.
