In 1862, as the Civil War heats up in the East, the Santa Fe Territory becomes the scene of a bitter blood bath, when Fort Holman is infiltrated by a band of marauders, who have been plucked from the gallows for the job by a disgraced Union officer. A year earlier, Colonel Pembroke, James Coburn, was forced to surrender the besieged fort, after his son was captured by the Confederate Commander. Safe inside, the treacherous Major Ward, Telly Savalas, then proceeded to kill the boy. Now Pembroke is back, hell-bent on vengeance.
