PASSPORT TO PIMLICO

PASSPORT TO PIMLICO
One hot summer’s day in the late 1940’s, life suddenly changes for the residents of London’s Pimlico area when the local grocer discovers an ancient document that firmly establishes the area as part of Burgundy, in France. The fun and trouble begins when the residents realise they’re no longer subject to British licensing laws or rationing. Passport To Pimlico pits their ingenuity and determination against the bumbling of Whitehall. Made at the legendary Ealing studios, with a superb cast, this film neatly captures Britain’s carefree post-war mood.
