After finishing his two-year hitch in the army, young Andy Hardy Mickey Rooney, returns home to Carvel, ready to get on with his life. He has two plans: complete a college education at his parents’ alma mater, and marry the girl of his dreams, the alluring Kay Wilson Bonita Granville, who’s a co-ed at the same school. However, as Andy soon discovers, the course of true love never runs smooth. Kay has another suitor, her former guardian, a successful business tycoon. This film offers more than its share of fun, including a hilarious blind date between the diminutive Andy and a gentle giantess.
