Life takes a strange turn for Seymour, a hapless, bumbling clerk in a flower store, when he grows a new plant. The little plant languishes – until a drop of blood falls accidentally into its blossom-like mouth, and revives it amazingly. Impressed, Seymour feeds it more, and with each feeding the plant grows bigger, hungrier and evermore demanding. Soon, Seymour finds himself in danger of becoming the slave and accomplice of the green monster he’s created. Subsequently made into ‘hit’ stage and movie musicals, this black comedy cult classic features Jack Nicholson in his second screen appearance.
