The life of wealthy businessman Walter Williams Brian Donlevy, is shattered when his adored wife plots his murder with her secret lover. Walter barely survives, but dazed and confused, he wanders into a small town in Idaho and reads about his death in a newspaper! He’s taken in by a beautiful auto-mechanic Ella Raines, and her mother. He soon learns to appreciate his simple life with them, though memories of the attack continue to haunt him.
