When spunky Los Angeles policewoman Claire Trevor and a tough U.S. customs agent Fred MacMurray are each sent undercover to Mexico, to ferret out a ruthless drug lord Raymond Burr, neither is aware they’ve been assigned the same task. As both agents gather evidence, each becomes more certain the other is guilty; but as they flee toward the Borderline, with the drug lord in hot pursuit, neither can deny their mutual attraction. If they survive and make it home, do they give in to their budding romance, or will each insist on turning the other in?
