A British news correspondent, an American general, a German staff officer and a Jewish actress, pledge friendship to each other during the 1936 Olympics in Berlin; but a few years later find themselves on opposite sides of the war. Eventually, fate brings them all together in North Africa in 1943, when British and American forces clash with the German army in one of World War II’s most important conflicts.
