Ill-treated by a cruel master, the animals on Manor Farm rise up and revolt; expelling the farmer and turning the property into a communal utopia, where the animals are free to work for themselves and humans are not allowed. However, after the pigs assume control, the revolution sours and the other animals soon find themselves even worse off than before. Exploited beyond their endurance, they must choose either to submit to this new tyranny or revolt again to restore their utopian vision. A superb animated adaptation of George Orwell’s famous fable about the dream of socialism.
